Caring for the Caregiver Event
On June 22nd, VHA, with support from its Client and Carer Advisory Council, hosted a Caring for the Caregiver event at St. John’s Church York Mills. Caregivers were treated to refreshing massages by the amazing massage students at Bryan College along with tasty treats.
Most importantly, they were able to come away with powerful strategies to avoid caregiver burnout and better care for themselves with through Lori Ives-Baine’s insightful presentation. Lori is the Grief Support Coordinator, at The Hospital for Sick Children.
The feedback from attendees was incredible and we look forward to bigger and better caregiver and client-centred events in the near future!
