North York’s Vicky Willis receives Heart of Home Care award

North York native Vicky Willis was honoured with a Heart of Home Care award Monday, June 9.
Willis, who attended York Mills Collegiate Institute, is one of four recipients of this year’s awards, presented by VHA Home HealthCare to recognize the remarkable efforts of a friend or family member in caring for a loved one with a disability or chronic or terminal illness.
When Willis’s 47-year-old husband, Jeff, was diagnosed with dementia, she dedicated herself to his care and educating others about the illness.
