Recognition, Inspiration and Caregiver Voices Unite in Celebration of National Carers Day

 

TORONTO, March 29, 2018 – VHA Home HealthCare, a nearly century-old, not-for-profit, charitable organization, hosts its 13th annual Heart of Home Care Awards event on National Carers Day, honouring the extraordinary efforts of unpaid caregivers in Ontario.

 

What:                   

 

  • Caregiver luncheon
  • Keynote by Manjusha Pawagi, author of Love and Laughter in the Time of Chemotherapy
  • Heart of Home Care Awards Presentation
  • Special musical performance from Ania Soul
  • PhotoVoice project photo exhibition of family caregiver photographs

When: Tuesday April  3, 2018

 

11:30 AM – 1:30 PM  Caregiver luncheon for winners and nominees (interviews available)

1:30 PM  Doors open for main event

2:00 PM – 3:30 PM  Main event (keynote, awards ceremony, live music)

  • Taylor Allen – Young Caregiver under 25
  • Madolina Sasa – Parent Caregiver to a Child
